This Donation Fund account was set up as a way to give directly to the Mayfield Independent School District. On the evening of December 10, 2021, a destructive long-track EF3+ tornado impacted areas of Kentucky including Mayfield. It caused a significant amount of damage through much of our district. Hundreds of our students & their families are not only displaced but lost everything they owned & have no place to work. Initial contacts show approximately 14% of Mayfield students' homes were damaged moderately or worst. 56 families' homes were total losses. These monies raised will be used by our district to support our students who lost during this event. We hope it is able to keep students enrolled and families in Mayfield, Kentucky. We will be needing to replace personal items, secure down payments to housing, offer trauma & recovery services all in hopes of helping those we love recover & eventually thrive once again as they were until this dreadful night!
